Hello! I have a 14 year old interested in getting involved in theater, and I JUST found your site and see we JUST missed auditions for one of her favorite books, Little Women. Is there any way she could be involved in some way, even if very small, non speaking, or helping back stage? Anything to get her feet wet in the experience? We live in Owen county, just nothing available here. I really appreciate your consideration!!

Sorry I have another question. There are two of us in the party who are vegetarians. Can we have a veggie plate once we get there. If there is another way to contact someone please let me know!

I have two young children that love to perform. They have been dancing with Elite Dance and Acrobatics. Their ages are 4 and 6. Is there anything I could do to get them involved. I love working in make up and on sets. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi Russell! I have sent this message on to some of our other members, you should be hearing back very soon

Hello,

My name is Russell Stinson, and I'm writing because I'm interested in finding more opportunities to music-direct/vocal-direct musical theatre. I live in Bloomington, and quite honestly, there aren't many opportunities to do community musical theatre there. I've worked with Monroe County Civic Theater before (music-directed "Babes in Arms" in 2010), and I also composed my own musical "The Token," which was performed in 2005. Anyway, I was just wondering if Merry MAC Players might have any opportunities to music-direct a musical during next year's season.

I'm mostly interested in "Golden Age" shows (approximately 1940s through 60s), especially lesser-known gems that have fallen underneath the radar. I'm particularly drawn to the idea of reviving a show that audiences are unlikely to get another chance to see elsewhere, rather than performing some overdone classic that gets produced all the time. I also suspect that the lesser-known shows tend to be cheaper to license.

If any of this is of interest to you, please send me an email at [email protected], and I'll write back with a list of shows I'm interested in doing.

Thank you,

Russell Stinson
